naming conventions

... were easy with databases.  photography?  not so much.

i've never really been a big fan of naming photographs.

coming from the world of music, where only the limited realm of programmatic music provided meaning for the listener, i like to leave it up to the viewer to decide if there is any meaning inherent in a picture, or if it's just a "cool pic."

blogs, on the other hand, want a title, and i've started doing it.

come to find, i'm not very good at it.  i still don't like titles.  one of my fav photogs (a fella called aeric gujon (check him out...  he's awesome)) has a really great non-relational way to title his pics, and that's why i think it works.

i dunno' - i just don't like providing meaning or stating the obvious.  some pics have meaning to me, but why should i tell you what it means to me?  or if there even is a meaning?  does that guide help you to glean something out of a picture?  hmph...
