one of the problems with low-end digital slr is the dry recreation of a scene. film has an automatic removal from reality because it is interpreting colors and the grain is interpreting the lines.
i love the alien skin add-in in photoshop, which recreates film grain, contrast & colors. but when i can't get my hands on it, i like either cross-processing, or messing w/ individual colors.
this one has the cross-processing action on it. the yellow highlights, blue shadows, etc, really help it pop.
